Windows updates & virus definitions in anti-virus software:
How can I restore those data after I formatted my computer, as those data takes some time to be downloaded through the net.
Can I copy the contents of those data & store it in external thumbdrive & paste it in the folder it belongs to after i formatted my pc (to make sure that I don’t need to download previous updates again)? Thx!

Maybe because spyware is bad for your computer.
If you mean anti-spyware, try getting adaware from download.com
