I keep getting pop ups in the lower right hand corner of my computer saying security Alert: NetWorm-i.virus@fp and to click the balloon to get this new spyware product. I’ve tried Microsoft windows defender, and microsoft malicious file remover or something like that it was called, and it removed 3 bad files but these keep popping up. Can someone please tell me what else i can do. And i dont want to download anything that isnt verified cos it’ll probaby just make it worse, so please dont say that! PLEASE HELP ITS DRIVING ME MAD!

Why would you want to? This is a service to protect you from potentially downloading a virus or other piece of malware.

its nothing serious (i dont think) but just random times when I go onto a website, a pop-up will appear, and its the same pop-up each time (so i know its not from the website)
is this spyware? or what? anyway, i need to get rid of it.
thanks

Hey all,
I share my internet with my 3 sisters. 4 Computers in total including myself. Is there a free program that tells me how much each computer is downloading from the internet?

I need to download some software that records exactly what’s coming out of your speakers, in really good quality. I have downloaded about 3 different ones, all of which record the sound, but the quality is awful, and when playing back, i have to turn up the speakers really loud, and even then, the sound is very quiet, and has a fuzzy sound in the background. I really need some software, by today!! Thank you!

Everytime I start Internet explorer “inappropriate picrures come on the screen and it claims it is a virus and says to download some spyware. How do I get rid of this virus without paying anything…only because I am a minor with no credit card to order something. I downloaded spyware doctor and there are 11 infections but it does not fix the problem because every time I open explorer the same message comes up. How do I get rid of the spyware and keep the computer safe (I have mcafree but the scan states everything is normal)?

Whenever I google something and click on one of the results it takles me away from the result and redirects me to some silly website such as overclick.cn or anchovies.biz. Why is it doing this, and how can I make it stop?
I have Firefox 3.5 and XP Pro SP3
I also have AVG Free Antivirus ans an AVG Security toolbar

I have a few desktop computers at my house that I plan on selling. Are there any steps I should take before selling them, with regard to clearing them of any personal information. Is it as simple as just deleting everything, or is there something more? What other things do people do to a computer to prepare it for being sold?

help ! please, somehow my husband picked up 2 really bad security issues, from face book & his E- Mail. 1) was a Rogue security tool and the 2nd. was a adware program called Target Savers. between both of them and what they have caused, my computer is a mess. over 5 days and sleepless nights so now am I :( thank you for whatever help u can offer.

Hi ! In safe mode only the windows essential drivers and services are loaded, leaving out the application start up entries made in registry … This usually doesn’t allow malware to start in safe mode and it isnt able to prevent you from running anti-malware applications …
But malware are smarter now, they merge in entries into windows essential services ( Like start up key of Userinit.exe ), this way they too start in safe mode … ! Its becoming tougher combating malware …!
