I want to know how people made the very first software. Usually to make software the help of another is necessary, either to write code for it or to get it working with the hardware.

The first computer software was all originally programmed in binary until COBOL and FORTRAN came along.
the first software was on paper punch cards and were simple instructions for the computer the holes in the card were either 1 or 0
