it is strongly recommended to install an antispyware software to close all security vulnerabilities.
Antispyware helps protect your PC against spyware and other security threats.

download spybot and do a scan or do a full computer scan

FYI I’m not “stupid” as the previous poster would suggest, but I do own a MAC. You really don’t need any, because Apple does not run on a windows operating system. The greater majority of viruses are built to take advantage of the weaknesses in the more broadly used Windows operating systems, so they do not typically affect Apple Computers. As far as spyware goes, you can usually download free software to scan for this from your internet service provider, so I would check with them. I’ve owned a MAC powerbook for the past 2 years and I have NEVER had an issue with viruses or spyware and I do not have any additional virus software on my system. In my entire experience with MAC I have never had any system issues that would be resulted from viruses. I’m not saying Apples don’t get viruses, I’m saying the probability is extremely slim if you are running the MAC OS.

I decided to let go of my Norton Internet Security package because it took so long for my computer to start up and because it was generally slow with this memory hog running. I chose The Shield Antivirus 2006 (PCSecurityShield) specifically because it comes out on top of reviewers choice and because their customers love that it’s so light on memory. It’s installed in two parts: the firewall and the antivirus. With just the firewall running my computer is lightning fast even on the internet. But, once the antivirus is loaded it is as slow as a snail. Their tech support is working on a solution but I’m not hopeful they will be helpful. I don’t want want to run my computer with only the firewall. Has anyone else experienced this? I’ll tell you this: (1) msconfig startup is running a minimum number of files, (2) a scan turned up no viruses and no spyware, and (3) I’d rather resolve the issue with the current software than blindly get another. Please provide recommendations!

I keep getting an annoying pop up on my computer called “Antivirus Systems Pro Alert” How can I safely remove it from my computer?

You have an infection. Turn off the restore program, boot up in safe mode, tap the F8 key on restart, use the arrows and enter key, select safe mode with networking, Get the free version of this. http://www.malwarebytes.org/mbam.php
Update and do full scan.
When done, restart in normal, turn restore program back on.

I know you arent supposed to have two antivirus programs installed on your computer but what about both a spyware protector and antivirus program. Cause my antivirus doesnt really pick up spyware so i need both of them.

Plz, looking for the best and ready to pay 1000$ for the best but please I don’t want it to take a lot of RAM and slow my computer! Thanks

I have looked into a few like Spector, Spy Agent and Web Watcher. I would like to hear if anyone has used this type of software and what they recomend.
